Parkour athletes overcoming physical and mental limits in the public domain
KASSEL. Sven Becker takes off. Three steps later, he pushes himself off the ground and catapult itself to a three-foot wall into the air. He reaches for the edge, runs up. The 27-year-old parkour athlete.
Again and again he will meet with like-minded people at the war memorial at the State Theatre or at the documenta-Halle. The goal is to move efficiently with elegance through the urban and natural space. The paths that one takes advantage of spring, their own ideas, available options and their own ability.
Wehrwein Paul came over to the gymnastics parkour. As compensation for the study of mathematics began the 26-year-old to play the game. A self-made video finally attracted the attention of the clubs.
Today the two, as many of their friends, as a training manager for Parkour classes in various sports clubs in the region are active. At the Albert-Schweitzer-School and the Wilhelm-Leuschner-school they offer Parkour. Even teachers are the two from now.
