A triumph for the rebels
When Manuel "Mel" Zelaya in 2009 was driven by force from the presidential palace, the rebels gave international observers little chance for power in Honduras to take over permanently. But already for a year Porfirio Lobo Sosa is president of the country, even though he owes his office to the coup. His government even gets EU support for its repressive apparatus.
